Located just a 10-second walk from one of Japan's largest ski slopes, Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain is offering a special plan called "Wake Up to the Slopes" from December 27, 2025 to March 16, 2026, which includes camper rental and overnight stays in the dedicated parking lot right in front of the slopes
Not only can you ski down Nekoma Mountain, where high-quality dry powder known as "micro-fine snow" falls, but the campervans available for this plan can be driven with a standard driver's license (automatic transmission allowed). Starting from rental locations in the Tohoku area (Miyagi and Fukushima) and Kanto area (Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, Tochigi, Ibaraki, and Gunma), you can enjoy a highly flexible snow trip, including driving to the ski resort and sightseeing in the surrounding area
During your stay, you can use the facilities of the hotel, which is directly connected to the slopes, and also enjoy outdoor experiences such as bonfires and BBQs in a location overlooking Mount Bandai and the slopes. You can enjoy the special feeling of being able to start skiing the moment you wake up in the morning, and a new skiing experience that can be enjoyed as a trip, including transportation
The perfect camper for a ski trip
Not only do they eliminate the inconvenience of checking public transport times and waiting for buses in the cold, but they also allow for comfortable rest breaks during travel and the freedom to make detours as you please, which is a unique feature of camper vans. They also come equipped with a heater that can be used even with the engine off, so the interior is always warm. Loading and unloading ski equipment is also easy
There are two types of vehicles available: a family size (cab-over/van-conversion) that can accommodate up to six people, and a compact size (light camper) that can accommodate up to two people

Two plans to choose from
The "Full Package" includes skiing and snowboarding, as well as bonfires and BBQs. It comes with power outlets for charging your campervan, making it ideal for first-time campervan travelers.
On the other hand, the "Affordable Package" is recommended for those who want to ski or snowboard to their heart's content while keeping costs down. While it doesn't include bonfires or power outlets, it's more reasonably priced, allowing you to easily experience campervan travel.
Both plans are fully equipped inside the vehicle, and you can choose between a 2-day, 1-night trip or a 3-day, 2-night trip. Another plus is that amenities such as bath towels and toothbrushes are included

You can also enjoy sightseeing in the surrounding area
The surrounding area is dotted with attractive tourist spots, including Lake Inawashiro, known as the fourth largest lake in Japan, Ouchijuku, a post town that still retains its Edo period streetscape, and Higashiyama Onsen, a historic hot spring that is counted among the Ouyama Rakugo. There are also a variety of unique gourmet foods, such as Kitakata Ramen, one of Japan's three great ramen dishes, and Negi Soba, a specialty dish eaten with long green onions instead of chopsticks, which will add even more enjoyment to your trip

Comes with luxurious bonuses
Not only will you be able to experience a special snow trip, but this plan also comes with many attractive benefits

Special discounts on lift tickets
This plan includes a special price on a one-day lift ticket for Nekoma Mountain, where you can enjoy the vast area stretching from north to south
The usual price for adults is 6,300 yen, but now it's 4,300 yen, for middle and high school students it's 4,500 yen instead of 3,200 yen, and for elementary school students it's 3,000 yen instead of 2,100 yen, so the whole family can enjoy it at a great price

Free rental (weekdays only)
You can rent clothing and gear worth 10,500 yen per person for free.
In addition to items from popular brands, a gear drying service after use and a dedicated locker are also included, so you can enjoy skiing comfortably even if you come empty-handed.

Free departure the night before
This service is perfect for those who want to hit the early morning powder.
If you prefer to avoid traffic and travel at night, pickup is available from 5 PM the day before. Even on a 1-night, 2-day trip, this effectively gives you an extra night's worth of leeway and ensures smooth travel.

You can use the hot springs as many times as you like
Bandaisan Onsen Hotel by Hoshino Resorts boasts "Shurei no Yu" hot spring, which you can use as many times as you like during your stay. Showers are also available 24 hours a day, making it convenient. In bad weather, we also recommend enjoying the hotel's heated pool

First Ride
This special discounted lift ticket plan also includes first rides. You can experience a free "wake-up ride" on an uncharted slope. There's also a service available (for a fee) where you can run down the slopes with your pet

activity
Guests can also participate in activities available to them. After taking a break or bathing, you can relax in the hotel's lounge or bar
Enjoy a unique and highly flexible skiing experience with family and friends, combining safe and comfortable hotel services with the thrill of a scenic drive and a snow-covered mountain camping feel. Details and reservationshere.
