The north area of Nekoma Mountain is covered in high-quality dry powder known as "microfine snow." Located in Urabandai, a national park protected area known as the "Land of Lakes and Marshes" with over 300 lakes and marshes, the area has been a major obstacle to accessing the north gate.
This year, in addition to the Kitashiobara Village ski shuttle service that started last year, a new express bus service will be launched that runs directly from Tokyo Station to each hotel, making access from far away even smoother than before.
Why entering from the North Gate is recommended
The North Gate offers the shortest access to powder courses, making it ideal for those who want to stay overnight and aim for the first powder of the morning.
Within a 15-minute radius, there are a variety of accommodations, including guesthouses, resort hotels, and hot spring inns, offering a convenient choice to suit your needs.
Furthermore, as it is one of Fukushima's leading hot spring areas, you can relax and soothe your fatigue in the hot springs after skiing.
Two new shuttle buses

a shuttle bus that travels between the two ski resorts, "EN Resort Grandeco" and "Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain," stopping at three accommodations along the way. No reservations are required, making snow trips even more exciting.
