Patagonia Tokyo Kanda Store reopens as a base for taking action to protect snow-capped mountains!

with a powerful lineup of products centered on "snow and technical" gear
Patagonia Tokyo Kanda Store has been reborn as a place where people unite and take action to protect our precious snow-covered mountains,

The Patagonia Tokyo Kanda Store, located in Kanda, Tokyo, is considered one of Japan's leading snow towns.
Its distinctive yellow exterior is a landmark, and it's a popular store visited by many avid outdoor enthusiasts in Tokyo. It reopened on October 9, 2021, after renovations.

The key points of the renovation include an expanded selection of technical products for skis, snowboards, mountaineering, etc., as well as the start of a new initiative toward sustainability that is not found at other Patagonia directly managed stores

①We have started selling recycled (used) products!

●USED
We sell used snow-related products.

2) They will teach you how to care for and repair your gear so that you can use your technical products for a longer period of time!

●REPAIR
This section conveys the message of using products as gear for a long time, along with repair services.

3. You can rent Patagonia snowwear at the store!

●RENT
This time, the entire amount of the rental fee will be donated to POW JAPAN.
*Snow wear (top and bottom) rentals will begin in late December.
*You can use it for a maximum of one week from rental to return for ¥4,000 (tax included).

All of these are delightful services that are designed with the user in mind, and all of these initiatives become concrete actions that users choose to take to protect the environment

Furthermore, under the slogan "ACTIVISM," which states "We are taking part in the action for change," the store disseminates information about the current state of the climate crisis and the initiatives being taken in various snow areas to protect snow-covered mountains. Information from organizations such POW Japanis also displayed.
These initiatives aim to encourage outdoor users who visit the store to take an interest in the environment and take action to protect it.

Behind this is Patagonia's message for this season

of living with snow
The responsibilities and
possibilities

The gratitude we feel for gliding across the snow means an endless struggle to protect winter. To truly enjoy it, we need to minimize its negative impacts.
And let's act in every way we can to do so. Patagonia can make an impact by making durable gear.
Your role is to make it last as long as possible.

As a company responsibility, we provide durable gear and teach you how to care for and repair it to extend its lifespan as much as possible.
At our Kanda store in Tokyo, in addition to the above, we also offer used snow-related products for sale and a rental program as an alternative to buying new items.
