A different world where you can ski on powder snow at an altitude of 1,380m in Kagura
Kagura Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture is one of the largest ski resorts in Japan, boasting some of the heaviest snowfalls and a vast scale. Wadagoya is located on the mountainside at an altitude of 1,380m.
As you can see, it is a charming mountain hut, and naturally, if you stay here, you'll be on the fast track the next morning!
This special accommodation is known only to those in the know and is extremely popular with powder and backcountry enthusiasts.
During the season, it is always bustling with freeskiers and snowboarders, and it is said that it is difficult to get a reservation, especially on weekends.
There was much attention on how Wadagoya would operate during the 2020-21 season, but with the start of the season, the following announcement was made
● Accommodation opening hours: Saturday, December 12, 2020 - Tuesday, May 4, 2021 (national holiday)
● Accommodation opening days: Saturdays, New Year's holidays (Sunday, December 27 - Saturday, January 2), Golden Week (Wednesday, April 28 - Tuesday, May 4 (national holiday)), special days (Sunday, January 10, Monday, February 22)
This means you can only stay on Saturdays! And this season the maximum capacity is 20 people!
