A different world where you can ski on powder snow at an altitude of 1,380m in Kagura
Kagura Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture boasts one of the highest snowfall amounts in Japan and a vast scale. Located halfway up the mountain at an altitude of 1,380 meters is the Wada Hut.
As you can see, it's a charming mountain hut, and of course, staying here means you'll be on the first tracks the next morning!
Known only to those in the know, this special accommodation is extremely popular with powder and backcountry enthusiasts.
Every year during the season, it's always bustling with freeskiers and snowboarders, and reservations are notoriously difficult to get, especially on weekends.
There was much attention on how Wadagoya would operate during the 2020-21 season, but with the start of the season, the following announcement was made
● Accommodation Hours: December 12, 2020 (Sat) - May 4, 2021 (Tue/Holiday)
● Accommodation Days: Saturdays, New Year's holidays (December 27 (Sun) - January 2 (Sat)), Golden Week (April 28 (Wed) - May 4 (Tue/Holiday)), Special days (January 10 (Sun), February 22 (Mon))
In other words, you can only stay there on Saturdays! And this season, the maximum capacity is only 20 people!

Reservation acceptance hours:
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
*Reservations can be made from 31 days prior to the desired stay date. (Example: If you wish to stay on December 31st, you can make
a reservation from November 30th.) *Reservations cannot be made for dates more than 31 days in advance.
*A maximum of two reservations can be made at a time, with a maximum of five people per reservation.
