The WORLD SKI AWARDS is a prestigious awards ceremony known as the Oscars of the global ski tourism industry.
The contest, which began in 2013 with the aim of raising the standards of the ski industry, is now in its eighth year.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of skiers and snowboarders from around the world vote, with each category being set for ski resorts, hotels, travel agencies, and other businesses from around the world. Nominees are announced in June each year, and after a public vote online, the Grand Prize winner is announced in November
The 2020 award results were announced just the other day, with Japan receiving awards in these four categories:
Japan's Best SKI Resort 2020,
Japan's Best SKI HOTEL 2020,
Japan's Best SKI Boutique 2020, and Japan's
Best SKI Chalet 2020.
