Niigata Prefecture to underpin and boost the ski industry in the
region will begin sales on Friday, November 25, 2022!
Ski resorts across Japan have begun opening, marking the start of the full-fledged season. The "ONI Discount Campaign," which has been a huge hit since the year before last with its eye-catching discounts, is back again this year. The
"ONI Discount Campaign" is one of the projects started to support Niigata Prefecture's ski industry, which has been hit hard by the effects of the new coronavirus. This year, approximately 40 facilities in Niigata Prefecture are expected to participate. There will be a wide variety of offers, including lift tickets, rentals, and snow play experiences, with discounts of up to half price.
It's called the "ONI Discount" - a crazy discount and a crazy skiing experience
First of all, this campaign has an amazing name. It's called "ONI (Oni) Discount."
The meaning behind it is "a devilish discount, and a devilishly smooth ride."
1. Discount details
(1) Lift ticket
• Discount applies to: Adult 1-day tickets
• Discount amount: Up to half price (maximum 2,000 yen)
• Ticket limit: For electronic tickets, one ticket per person per transaction, maximum of 4 transactions. For convenience store tickets, up to two tickets per person per transaction.
*Normal lift ticket price: 2,000-6,000 yen
(2) Rental equipment
• Discount applies to: Rental equipment sets/full sets (for one day)
• Discount amount: Up to half price (maximum 5,000 yen)
• Quantity limit: None
*Normal rental fee (full set for one day): 4,000-10,000 yen
(3) Snow play experience
• Discount applies to: Experiences that can be enjoyed at ski resorts within the prefecture, such as snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
• Discount amount: Up to half price (maximum 5,500 yen)
• Number of tickets: None
2. Sales/usage period and purchase method
・Sales/usage period: Friday, November 25, 2022 to Friday, March 31, 2023

Register as a member of Niigata Tourism Fan Club Niicle (free registration) and log in to your My Page. Then, access the ONI discount purchase page and purchase your ticket using JTB electronic tickets. On the day of your visit, simply present your electronic ticket (QR code), your Niicle My Page screen, and your ID (proof of identity) at the reception desk to use the ticket
