Appi Kogen in 2020-21 is hot for tree runs!
With 6 areas and a total skiable area of 65 hectares (equivalent to 13 Tokyo Domes!), you can enjoy unlimited dry powder skiing that Appi is known for!
Appi Kogen is one of Tohoku's largest ski resorts.
Appi is famous and popular for its super-long courses and dry powder snow, and the tree run area, where you can fully enjoy these features, finally opened on January 26th.
The tree run areas extending from the upper parts of Maemoriyama (elevation 1,304m) and Nishimoriyama (elevation 1,328m) total a whopping six!
Their combined area spans 65 hectares, which is roughly equivalent to 13 Tokyo Domes. It's certainly massive!
Taking full advantage of Appi's signature long course design, there are plenty of areas to enjoy long runs of 1km, 900m, and more.
Appi Highlands is gaining popularity as a popular tree running spot in Tohoku. Check out the website for details on the six areas!
