Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. unveils the new Elgrand, the most luxurious "premium minivan" in its history, and will begin sales on July 16th

The Elgrand, which debuted in 1997 as a "pioneer of luxury minivans," has been supported by a wide range of people, from families to business users, thanks to its combination of a high-quality ride and the joy of driving.
Sixteen years after the introduction of the previous model, the new Elgrand was finally announced in July 2026, and sales began on the same day.

―The King is Back― A design with meticulous attention to detail

The design concept for the new Elgrand is "linear motor car." It combines a sense of speed with a majestic presence, resulting in a design befitting a flagship model

The distinctive front grille is inspired by "kumiko," a traditional Japanese craft. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect, such as varying the size of each individual part

Instead of the chrome trim that has been used in many cars until now, the body is finished in the same color, creating a sense of calm and premium quality

A straight line, starting from the top of the headlights, extends straight down the side of the body. This design, inspired by the aforementioned maglev train, expresses a sense of fluid speed.
In contrast, a curve extends from the front fender to the top of the door glass, adding a softer impression to the otherwise straight-line-based design.

The rear section features a "V" shape design, expressing the "lingering feeling after finishing a drive." This design was developed through extensive wind tunnel testing, resulting in a functional design that also prioritizes aerodynamic performance

The interior was developed with the aim of creating a space like a "special private lounge." As intended, it boasts a high-quality finish befitting a premium minivan

The instrument panel, which controls the air conditioning and gear shift, features electrostatic switches integrated with a wood-grain panel. Furthermore, the 14.3-inch interface display, which shows the meters and navigation, has an overwhelming presence in the cabin

The second row features captain's seats in all trim levels, equipped with ottomans at the footrests. As explained, "even adults can turn over in their sleep," and the seats are indeed wide enough. It will be useful not only for family use but also for business situations where executives or guests are being transported

A "grand touring experience" that will make you want to keep riding forever

In recent years, minivans have tended to prioritize passenger comfort. However, the new Elgrand hasn't forgotten the "joy of driving" that the driver experiences

The body, with a wider overall width of 1,895mm compared to previous models, provides a solid and stable feel

Furthermore, it is equipped with "Intelligent Dynamic Suspension," which independently controls the suspension of each of the four wheels according to driving conditions such as rain or snow. This suppresses body sway and provides a comfortable ride

It also features six drive modes that can be selected to suit different driving conditions

The driving modes include "ECO," which supports fuel-efficient driving; "STANDARD," which balances acceleration performance and ride comfort; "SPORT," which allows you to enjoy winding roads with powerful acceleration and high line-tracing ability; "COMFORT," which provides a comfortable and high-quality travel space for passengers; "SNOW," which is suitable for slippery roads such as snowy roads; and "PERSONAL," which allows you to customize the driving characteristics to your liking

These drive modes allow the vehicle to deliver optimal performance according to the driving situation, while also providing the driver with an enjoyable driving experience

It also features a SNOW mode. The 4WD performance, incorporating technology from Nissan's sports car "GT-R," offers exceptional stability
The door panels also feature the same "kumiko" pattern as the front grille
