Over 100 years ago, Nozawa Onsen Village was only visited by people from the surrounding area who wanted to cure their hot springs, and in winter the village would be buried in heavy snowfall. The snow made it impossible for people to work in the village, forcing them to leave the village to find work, and the "snow" was a nuisance. However, skiing arrived in Japan and gradually began to gain recognition, and the people of Nozawa Onsen at the time decided to "turn snow into a tourist resource!" This is how the Nozawa Onsen Ski Club (now the Club) was founded in 1923. It was a pioneer in the country in revitalizing the village through skiing
The following year, Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort opened, and the club subsequently hosted and managed tournaments that attracted people from all over the country. The ski club has also been training athletes for 100 years, developing people through skiing
A commemorative video titled "Circulation" has been released, capturing the club's 100-year history and the passion of the people involved. The children who have studied at the ski club go on to the world, or grow up to become instructors and managers for the next generation. This cycle continues to build a better ski club and Nozawa Onsen Village
