OAKLEY releases its first signature model that embodies Hirano Ayumu's "life"!

Ayumu Hirano, a world-class professional snowboarder, has created his first OAKLEY signature model. The goggles are a special edition based on the popular "Line Miner™" model, which he has used for many years. The goggles, which reflect the gold medalist's outlook on life, were born to coincide with OAKLEY's 50th anniversary

Passionate goggles that embody Hirano Ayumu's competitive life and aspirations

The design theme is "Life."
It encapsulates the journey of challenges he has faced throughout his athletic career, and his feelings as a father to his recently born child. All of this is conveyed in a single, powerful character that conveys the energy of a brushstroke. The character "Life" depicted on the band is a calligraphic work by Tetsuo Gyotoku, a philosopher whom Ayumu Hirano respects.

The frame is silver, a color that Hirano says he has "always wanted to use." The "reprint static logo" on the back of the band, inspired by the classic OAKLEY archive model, is another key point that combines nostalgia and modernity. "Especially in this day and age, I want many people to feel the atmosphere that lives in the old designs and pick them up," he said

Ayumu Hirano commented as follows:
"The old color variations are rarely seen these days. That's why I wanted to rediscover their value through these colors in this day and age. Signature models strongly reflect the wearer's personality, so I think some people might find them difficult to use. With that in mind, I focused on a simple design that doesn't put my own personality front and center, so that anyone can naturally pick it up and use it for a long time."

The Prizm™ Black lenses ensure clear visibility on snowy terrain, making it easy to see even the slightest changes. The Line Miner™ lenses, which suppress fogging and ensure a wide field of view, are extremely popular among skiers and snowboarders, from top athletes to casual skiers

The "LINE MINER HIRANO AYUMU Signature" comes with a specially designed micro bag and is available in two sizes, M and L.
It will be available for purchase at the official OAKLEY online store and authorized retailers nationwide.

The silver frame, emitting a quiet brilliance, is the very trajectory of the challenges that Hirano Ayumu has taken. This model, themed around "life," goes beyond the scope of a simple athlete collaboration; it is a "philosophical piece of gear" that embodies the thoughts of an athlete and a person, and it can be said to symbolize OAKLEY's manufacturing approach of putting soul into tools

A special event will be held in Tokyo on December 15th

Furthermore, to commemorate the release, a special event will be held in Tokyo on December 15th, inviting Hirano Ayumu himself. Plans include a talk session to discuss the background of the creation of the signature model and "the meaning that goggles bring to the snow scene," as well as an autograph session and photo session. Those who purchase the goggles at the directly managed store will be entered into a lottery to be invited to the event
