OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts, a city-center hotel that lets you fully enjoy Asahikawa, will be hosting its first-ever "Asahikawa Warm Stay" event from December 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, where guests can enjoy warming activities such as kotatsu (heated tables) made with Asahikawa furniture and local sake in the extremely cold city of Asahikawa.

A large kotatsu made with Asahikawa furniture, one of Japan's five major furniture styles, will be set up inside OMO7 Asahikawa. You can warm yourself to the core while planning your trip.

In addition, the shop will be selling "Hot Sake Pub Crawl Tickets," which allow you to enjoy hot Asahikawa local sake while hopping between participating shops in the vicinity of OMO7 Asahikawa. Asahikawa is one of the coldest cities in Japan, so enjoy your stay in Asahikawa while experiencing what it truly means to "warm your body."

A kotatsu (heated table) measuring approximately 1.5m deep and 4.2m wide, made with Asahikawa furniture (one of Japan's five major furniture styles), has appeared in "OMO Base," a public space at OMO7 Asahikawa that is sure to get you excited. It will warm you up as if you're coming in from the freezing cold outside. Time will fly by as you warm up together with friends and family. OMO Cafe & Bar sells ice cream, so you can also experience the Hokkaido winter custom of eating ice cream in a warm room.

2. "Hot Sake Hopping Ticket" for enjoying hot sake in the frigid Asahikawa

During the event, "Hot Sake Pub Crawl Tickets" will be sold. Asahikawa City, a city known for its thriving sake brewing industry, has many restaurants that serve local sake. Asahikawa's cold winters are the perfect season to enjoy a hot sake pub crawl. Hot sake warms the body, allowing you to enjoy the pub crawl while feeling warm and cozy. When you purchase a Hot Sake Pub Crawl Ticket, you will receive a "Hot Sake Pub Crawl Map" listing restaurants where you can enjoy hot sake, and an OMO7 Asahikawa original sake cup for each person in your party. Present the ticket at one of the listed restaurants to enjoy Asahikawa's local sake served hot.

3. "Sauna Plateau and How to Relax Course" held

OMO Ranger, a true sauna enthusiast, will be giving a lecture on how to achieve a state of deep relaxation at "Sauna Plateau," a hot spring facility located in OMO7 Asahikawa. Sauna Plateau has two types of saunas: a dry sauna and a mist sauna. Furthermore, men and women switch saunas in the morning and evening, and you can enjoy both automatic and self-service löyly (steam). The method of achieving deep relaxation at Sauna Plateau that will be lectured on in this class is easy to try, making it recommended even for sauna beginners. In the extremely cold climate of Asahikawa, you can achieve a state of deep relaxation in a warm sauna.
