The Pakistan Karakoram Expedition took place in March 2023. Skiers including Daisuke Sasaki, Iwao Saeki, Shinya Nakagawa, Takafumi Konishi, Hiroki Ito, Yusuke Kunimi, and Daichi Motoki participated in the project, which involved skiing down extremely steep mountains, pulling a sled over 100km on a glacier at an altitude of 5,000m. The project was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed due to the spread of COVID-19. It was finally completed three years later
A nationwide caravan reporting on the expedition will begin on October 20th. It will be held in major cities from Hokkaido to Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and also in the hometowns of the team members. Applications open one month before the event. Admission to each venue is 1,000 yen for adults, and free for children and students
Photos from the tour have been uploaded to the official website and Instagram, but this is a rare opportunity to hear the "real voices" of the participating members, including their experiences and thoughts on the tour. Be sure to visit a venue near you
