"Protect Our Winters (POW)," which operates under the mission of "empowering fellow outdoor enthusiasts who are passionate about outdoor activities and taking action to protect their fields and lifestyles from climate change," runs
"Hot Planet Cool Athletes (HPCA)," a program in which junior and senior high school students learn and think about the mechanisms of global warming, the phenomena caused by climate change, and the "actions" and "choices" that can be taken to address them.
For this tour, HPCA will be changing its programs from the usual ones aimed at junior and senior high school students to ones aimed at skaters. In addition, POW JAPAN representative director Goro Komatsu will accompany the tour and talk to skaters from all over the country
The HPCA tour, which starts on Saturday, August 31, 2024, will be held in various locations across Japan, including Tohoku, Chubu, Kanto, and Kansai, throughout November, in addition to the currently announced schedule.
