The Red Bull Snow Charge is a competition to see who can ski down the slope from top to bottom the fastest.
However, the real appeal of this competition lies in the fact that it's not just about speed. What makes this competition unique is...
① Participants' boards are placed randomly about 50m away from the starting point
② Sprint to the location without wearing your snowboard!
3. Find your skis, put them on quickly, and get started!
That's the point. So, it's not just about being fast, but also luck—how quickly you can find your board and start sliding—that's an important element of victory.
In the traditional Red Bull Snow Charge, all you had to do was slide towards the finish line, but the special rules for 2023 are a little different.
In the designated zone just before the finish area, you have to take off the board you went through all that trouble to find and then sprint at full speed towards the finish line. In the end, the rider who grabs the flag placed a few meters away wins!
Taking off your board twice, once on top and once on the bottom, is surprisingly difficult...
This time, ski class entries will not be accepted, and the event will be held only for snowboarding
