Rusutsu Resort Ski Resort was aiming to open on Saturday, November 25th this season, but due to a lack of snowfall, the opening was postponed. As the week began, a generous amount of snow fell, and the resort has now decided to open tomorrow, Thursday, November 30th. This will be two days earlier than last season's opening on December 2nd
Starting tomorrow, the only courses and lifts that will be open are the upper part of Mt. Isola's Steamboat B course (500m, intermediate) and Isola Pair Lift No. 5. Shuttle buses will run from hotels to the base of Mt. Isola, and the Isola Gondola will take you to the ski area
Going forward, the number of courses open will be gradually expanded depending on the snow conditions. As of 8am on Wednesday, November 29th, there was 45cm of snow and the temperature was -8°C, so conditions look good.
