A one-day-only grand event will be held at Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, which will be starting its summer season this year.
It's called the "Harvest Festival."
This free festival will combine Minamiuonuma's local food, culture, and music to explore and rediscover the region's charm. It's
a perfect location with a panoramic view of the Uonuma Plain, where you can enjoy a wonderful time while taking in the spectacular scenery.
Minamiuonuma City is one of the snowiest areas in Japan, and it has several ski resorts. Among them, Ishiuchi Maruyama is a popular spot with a panoramic view of the Uonuma Plain. The "Harvest Festival" will be held in a new observation area on the mountainside, where this spectacular view can be seen at its most beautiful. Minamiuonuma is
also known as the birthplace of Koshihikari rice. Furthermore, it is a thriving center for sake brewing, with brands such as Hakkaisan and Kakurei. This event aims to allow people to enjoy the food, culture, and music rooted in Minamiuonuma, along with the scenery.
