The SMITH Athlete Collection features world-renowned athletes such as Markus Eder, Sage Cattabriga Alosa, and Scott Stevens. Gen Sasaki, a top rider who has won major domestic competitions such as FWQ HAKUBA and the Japan Freeride Open, and who has appeared in works such as MSP, has been chosen to feature in the collaboration items with these famous riders

The "Squad MAG" is SMITH's iconic model, the "Squad," equipped with a MAG lens change stem. A Gen Sasaki signature model has now been released for the "Squad MAG." The design, created by SMITH's ART TEAM with Sasaki, incorporates photographs taken entirely in Japan, mainly in Niseko, onto the strap, and the inclusion of Mount Yotei, a symbol of the Niseko area, and a Japanese-style torii gate motif adds a unique touch to the design. This is the first collaboration between a Japanese athlete, making this an impressive model

I fell in love with SMITH's simple, streamlined design and world-class lens quality, and have been using them for over 12 years. When skiing, maintaining visibility is the most important thing. If you can't see, you can't do anything, and you can't sense danger. SMITH is the only brand I can trust to do that
Gen Sasaki
He has become one of Japan's top freeride skiers in both name and reality, and is expanding his horizons. He has been using SMITH products since he was 16. We spoke to him in his hometown of Niseko, Hokkaido, about his thoughts on goggles, helmets, sunglasses, and skiing
Additionally, the new "Gallery" page on the official SMITH website includes a "LOOKBOOK" that shows how the items will look when worn, as well as the ability to download original smartphone wallpaper images
