■Program Content
Using ultra-lightweight skis, he traverses snowy peaks at high speed. Ken Fujikawa, the holder of the record for seven consecutive victories in domestic mountain ski races, pursues his own unique mountaineering style, which he calls "speed ski touring." His demeanor is like that of an ascetic monk. He loves to read introductory books on philosophy.
In the midst of nature, he continues to question who he is. This time, he took on a route that covered more than 60 kilometers in a single day in the mountainous region of central Hokkaido. Together with a specially assembled film crew, he also operated the camera himself, documenting the entirety of this challenge unfolding on an overwhelming scale.
