The Education Division of the Telemark Ski Association of Japan (TAJ) will hold the "Telefes 2026 GETO Technical Contest & Workshop" at Geto Kogen Ski Resort in Iwate Prefecture for two days from Saturday, March 14th to Sunday, March 15th, 2026
This event is a must-see festival for all telemarkers, as it goes beyond simply pursuing technique and places emphasis on the exhilaration of group skiing and the building of a community among telemarkers
, a former Telemark World Cup racer and currently a leading figure in the scene as an SAJ National DemonstratorKushu Anada.

Not only will Anada be the judge and frontrunner for the contest, but he will also personally teach new generation telemark methods such as "running long turns" and "sharp short turns" in the workshop on the second day. This will be a rare opportunity to experience up close the dynamic turns that are the result of extraordinary physical ability
The technical competition "Telemark Ski Technical Contest 2026" will be held on the 14th and will be held in the following categories
- General Division (Women's and Men's)
- Beginners (Telemark experience less than one season)
- Traditional class (Ski center 45-65mm, BC cross-country not allowed, Telemark only)
The competition consists of three events: long, short, and freestyle (two events for beginners), and will be judged fairly using a three-judge, three-scoring system.
The entry limit is 60 participants, and helmets are required.
A night party, workshops and test drives will also be held at the same time

Held on the evening of the 14th at the CAFE & PUB inside the ski resort's center dome. Let's deepen our connections with fellow telemark skiers while listening to the music of DJ Dice. - Workshop(held on March 15th):
In addition to lectures by Kushu Anada, the workshop offers a variety of sessions to satisfy your desire to explore new skills, including skill improvement using the TAJ method, mogul slope strategy, and a dedicated shooting team (PM) led by photographer Takahiro Nakanishi. - Test ride event:
Test the latest telemark gear on the snow.
