THE NORTH FACE is launching a new snow collection called "BoundX"
This collection was born from a suggestion by professional snowboarder Aya Sato and took approximately two years to develop. It is a collection for riders who enjoy the snowy mountains with a free spirit, without being bound by existing values, genres, or style boundaries such as skiing and snowboarding, or park and natural terrain
Incorporating the sensibilities of Aya Sato, who has continuously expanded her activities from competitive riding to freeriding, and from park riding to backcountry, this collection was developed with the aim of creating snow wear that can freely move between various scenes, from riding in the snowy mountains to everyday life.
This collection embodies the hope that the next generation of riders will pursue their own style without being bound by the field and challenge themselves freely.
On Friday, November 6th, a party and film premiere event will be held at THE NORTH FACE MOUNTAIN Harajuku to commemorate the launch of "BoundX"
On the day of the event, a brand film featuring Aya Sato and others will be released, and a talk session with the brand is also scheduled. In addition, there will be DJ performances by VIDEOTAPEMUSIC and Jun Saito, food and drinks by HATOS BAR, and it will be possible to try on items from the collection at the venue. Admission is free and no prior reservation is required

■GUEST PROFILE | Aya Sato,
professional snowboarder. She started snowboarding at the age of 3 and obtained her professional halfpipe qualification at the age of 13. After entering Waseda University, she became a member of the All Japan team in slopestyle. Later, inspired by her backcountry experience in New Zealand, she shifted her focus to natural snow-covered mountains and achieved four consecutive victories at the JAPAN FREERIDE OPEN. In 2025, she became the first Japanese to compete in the main event of the "NATURAL SELECTION TOUR," and continues to pursue her own style, transcending the boundaries of competition and field.
