A stepping stone competition that has produced Olympic athletes
The Togakushi Jr. Freeski Open 2023 will be held at Togakushi Ski Resort in Nagano Prefecture for two days, from March 18th (Sat) to 19th (Sun), 2023. This competition is a gateway to success, with many of today's world-class athletes and riders having started their careers by participating in this competition
There are five categories: U-8 boys and girls, U-12 boys, U-12 girls, U-18 boys, and U-18 girls. The participation fee is 5,000 yen (tax included) and advance registration is required. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 3rd. Don't forget to download, sign, and bring the parental consent form with you on the day of the event
This is one of the few junior competitions in Japan, so future riders who want to become world-class riders or aim for the Olympics should definitely give it a try

Competition method: Scoring will be done by judges in accordance with the official FIS rules. Rankings will be determined by category (one of two runs will be used)
Course: 2 kickers → 1 or 2 jibs *Kickers are planned to be 2 consecutive from 1m to 10m
Eligibility: Ages 18 and under, by category
. U-18 boys (18 and under, up to third-year high school students) Junior general division. Boys and
girls (18 and under, up to third-year high school students) Junior general division. Girls
and boys (12 and under, up to sixth grade of elementary school) Upper elementary school division. Boys
and girls (12 and under, up to sixth grade of elementary school) Upper elementary school division.
Girls and boys (8 and under, up to second grade of elementary school) Lower elementary school division. Mixed genders.
Participation fee: 5,000 yen (payable at the reception on the day)
Capacity: 60 people
Reception: Charmant 2nd floor restaurant
Awards: 1st to 3rd place in each category
