No reservations are required and participation is free. This open event, open to anyone interested in telemark skiing, will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Hida Honokidaira Ski Resort in Gifu Prefecture
The event was titled "Heel So Good! - Unlock the Turn." By experiencing the unique telemark technique of skiing, where your heels are not locked in place, you may be able to change the way you feel about turns and even your concept of skiing itself
On the day, there will be a telemark ski trial and test ride event with free rentals. In addition, there will be a free one-hour lesson, so even beginners can easily try it out
The skis available for test ride are telemark models from Blue Morris, a long-established Japanese ski manufacturer founded in Aomori over 100 years ago
