Rusutsu Resort wins the "Japan's Best Ski Resort" award at
The "WORLD SKI AWARDS" is a prestigious award often referred to as the Oscars of the global ski tourism industry.
Established in 2013 with the aim of raising the standards of the ski industry, the competition is now in its ninth year.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of skiers and snowboarders from around the world vote, with each category covering ski resorts, hotels, travel agencies, and other organizations from around the world. Nominations are announced in May, and after a public online vote, the 2021 winners were announced on January 17, 2022. The awards ceremony is usually held in Austria, but this year the announcement was made online

This year, the winner of the "Japan's Best SKI Resort 2020" award was Rusutsu Resort in Hokkaido.
Rusutsu Resort had previously won "Japan's Best Ski Resort" for three consecutive years in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and this year's award marks their fourth win, and their first in two years.
