The "Yahoo! Weather" app provided by LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation has revamped its "Snow Depth Mode," which displays the extent of snow accumulation on a map in 12 levels
The "snow depth mode" function has been available up until now, but it was only updated once a day and allowed users to check the depth of snow on the ground as of 5 a.m. It was not possible to view past information or future forecasts

With this latest update, you can now view information for a total of 31 hours, including "information from 24 hours in advance" and "forecasts for up to 6 hours in the future." Updates are also made hourly, allowing you to see more detailed information. Checking past snow depths and future forecasts in the snow depth mode will likely be helpful for planning your next day's powder runs
The device also comes equipped with a "Rain and Snow Radar" function that can distinguish between "rain" and "snow." The Rain and Snow Radar function allows you to see "snow" and "rain" at a glance for up to 15 hours ahead. This could be useful as a way to check when it's difficult to tell whether it's raining or snowing at the beginning of the season or in early spring
