For all the skiers who have skied a lot this season, have you ever left any trash on the slopes?
Ski resorts are closed, and as the snow melts, trash appears. Plastic bottles, cans, candy wrappers, etc. The amount can be staggering. Skiing is a sport that we enjoy while being grateful for the bounty of nature. It is unacceptable for skiers to have such a negative impact on the environment
To help with this, Maiko Snow Resort is holding a trash pick-up event called "Yukigori CAMP Mountain Clean-up" on the slopes that they have been helping out with throughout the season. Participants will clean up the slopes and receive a free ticket to "Yukigori CAMP 2022," as well as a delicious lunch of rice and kenchinjiru (soup soup) from Minamiuonuma
*What is "Yukigori CAMP"?
This camping festival event is held at Maiko Kogen Auto Campground (Maiko Snow Resort) and is aimed at skiers and snowboarders who can't wait for the snow to come. They sell snow gear such as skis, clothing, and goggles, as well as ski resort lift tickets, and also provide workshops and delicious local food. Everyone can enjoy camping and praying for lots of snow to ensure a good season

Date and time: Sunday, June 5, 2022, World Environment Day *The event will be held rain or shine, but will be cancelled if the weather is severe
How to apply:Peatix(advance registration, on-site registration possible if there are still seats available)
Participation fee:Free(Limited to 30 people / First-come, first-served basis)
Participation benefits:Admission ticket to Yukigoi CAMP 2022 (1-day pass),lunch included(delicious rice and kenchin soup from Minamiuonuma)
What to bring: Comfortable clothes for exercise, gloves, tongs, water or other drink, your own tableware and chopsticks for lunch *Garbage bags will be provided by the organizer
