Photographer Yoichi Watanabe, based in Niseko, has been photographing famous snow-covered mountains around the world while skiing.
This year, he will be holding a photo exhibition named after his 2020 photo book, "Snow Forest: The Essence of the Winter Forest."
For the first time this year, the venue will be in Tokyo, at "SLOPE GALLERY" in Shibuya.
The exhibition will run throughout December, and a talk show will also be held on December 3rd (Friday) (8:00 PM - 9:00 PM, fee applies, reservations required).
Spending a moment in the heart of the city to contemplate the snow forest will surely make this winter even more enjoyable.

We will be holding a photo exhibition by photographer Yoichi Watanabe. Yoichi Watanabe has been living in Kutchan, Hokkaido for 25 years now, and
since his mid-twenties, he has been based in Niseko, taking photographs while skiing down some of the world's most famous snow-
covered mountains. In recent years, he has rediscovered the beauty of Japan's natural environment and continues to
the richness of life in snowy regions and the charm of nature through various activities such as the snow culture magazine <Stuben Magazine> which he himself publishes, as well as exhibitions and lectures

Titled "Snow Forest – The Essence of the Winter Forest, Tokyo," this exhibition coincides with the publication of the photobook of the same title , released in February 2020.

Following its run at the Tomioka White Museum in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture in December 2020, and a subsequent exhibition at GENTEM CAFE & GALLERY in Niseko in September
, this will be the first time the exhibition is presented in Tokyo. A selection of works from "Snow Forest" will be exhibited and available for purchase.
