In the 2025-2026 season, the CORTEX ZONAL BOA® was released, combining cutting-edge technology with an even higher level of fit. This is the introduction of the Dual BOA®, which features two BOA® fit systems
With Dual BOA®, two laces wrap around the lower part of the lower shell, centered around the instep, and the upper part of the upper shell, from the shin up, and two dials allow for precise fit adjustments
The boot shell and upper cuff work together to encase the foot and shin, providing a uniform fit and reducing pressure points on the instep. The heel is also secured in the heel pocket to eliminate unnecessary movement. This high level of integration between the foot and boot results in significantly improved power transmission from the boot to the ski, as well as stability and maneuverability
The "Cortex 140 Zonal BOA®" debuted as K2 SKI BOOTS' top-of-the-line model equipped with BOA, and quickly dominated the world's top freeride competition scene and even the Japanese recreational skiing scene. In 2024, Max Hitzig won the WFT (World Freeride Tour) wearing the "Cortex 140 Zonal BOA®," instantly making its quality known worldwide.
