The Lofoten Gore-Tex Pro Jacket & Pants have been continuously improved since their debut in 2004. Combining excellent waterproofness and durability, as well as new cuts and bold coloring, they have earned a reputation as a "jacket for freeride skiing and snowboarding." They are truly a symbol of NORRØNA, a classic that has been loved for many years as a flagship model.
The first aspect of the full model change for the 2025-2026 season was the material. The jacket now uses GORE-TEX® PRO fabric with an ePE membrane. This is a world-class membrane that is highly durable, provides high waterproofness, optimal breathability, and complete windproofness, while also being environmentally friendly.
The adoption of GORE-TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane marks an important milestone in NORRØNA's pursuit of responsible performance as a manufacturer. It's easy to imagine the high-performance, durable product design being designed for long-term use. Lightweight and thin, yet highly durable, it contains less than 50 ppm of PFAS (fluorinated organic compounds) and has a low carbon footprint. New GORE-TEX products combine this membrane with carefully selected fabrics, including recycled materials.
In addition to the evolution of materials, new colors will be released in the 2025-2026 season.

The pants have a regular fit and are made from a tough fabric, but thanks to their precise patterning they don't feel heavy and don't restrict leg movement. The waist can be adjusted with Velcro, and the hem with snow gaiters is reinforced with edge guards made from strong Vectran fiber. They come in six colors, matching the jacket's colors.
