A simple and sturdy setup typical of "Hard Gear"

Mountain Hardwear has been researching and developing gear for high altitude mountaineering since its founding in 1993. The Mythogen Set-Up, launched this season, is a definitive freeride wear packed with snow gimmicks that are typical of "mountaineering equipment."

Eight large waterproof zippered pockets on top and bottom! Elbow reinforcements create a block design. A synthetic-fiber inner chest pocket keeps your smartphone warm. Long ventilation in the bibs allows for smooth ventilation and excretion. Its innovative, unique, and sturdy specifications will catch the eye of any skier

The core of Mythogen's clothing is the Gore-Tex Pro ePE material, which was introduced in the Fall/Winter 2025 collection. This sustainable garment uses no harmful chemicals and offers the same waterproofness and breathability as traditional Gore-Tex. The greatest feature of Gore-Tex Pro is its durability, having passed rigorous wear tests to meet the demands of professionals, from athletes to mountain guides and avalanche forecasters

Yosuke Fujii , a Mountain Hardwear athlete, experienced the performance of Misogen throughout the season .

"Last spring, I spent two weeks in Switzerland and participated in five freeride competitions. Each competition involved a hike of just under an hour to the drop point. After a strenuous climb, I was in a stormy area at an altitude of about 2000m. It was a challenging situation for regulating body temperature, but the high windproof and breathable properties of Gore-Tex allowed me to walk comfortably.

Also, by making full use of the large ventilation, I could adjust my temperature even further. If I was still worried about overheating, I would pack the jacket, which folds up compactly, into my pack, fasten the bib with the waist belt, and remove the shoulder strap. I would put the beacon in the thigh pocket with a loop. This setup is packed with features that address the specific needs of skiers."

That's because the team has incorporated the opinions of top athletes, including French steep skiing maestro Vivienne Bourchet, freeskiing legend Sean Pettit, and rising star Anon Roski, into the design of the top

The collection incorporates cutting-edge features without hesitation, and is bold yet historically rich. The high-performance design combines alpinism and freeride, and the casual fit makes it a perfect set for ski resorts

Yosuke Fujii's impression of wearing the suit

Yosuke Fujii
started skiing when he entered Hokkaido University and is a skier who competes in competitions all over the world. He also works as a web production engineer.

"Mythogen is thin, light, and flexible, yet just the right thickness, giving me a sense of security even in the European Alps. The fabric isn't stretchy, but thanks to the three-dimensional pattern, I didn't feel any tightness or restriction, even when jumping or doing switchbacks. The inverted U-shaped bench in the bib was very useful during the tight competition schedule. I wash it frequently to maintain the performance of the Gore-Tex fabric."
