One Lens. All Conditions - One lens for all lighting conditions
When talking about GIRO goggles, one thing that is essential is the VIVID lens technology. This lens was developed in collaboration with Carl Zeiss, a German optical equipment manufacturer that produces high-quality lenses. Rather than simply filtering out all blue light, which has been considered to have a negative impact on vision, the lens only captures the necessary types of blue light
Since the natural color of snow is blue, leaving only the necessary light allows you to see even the smallest irregularities, rather than cutting out all blue light. As a result, the contrast of the snow surface is increased while providing a natural view that doesn't exaggerate the colors too much. This makes it much easier to ski because you can accurately capture terrain information such as unevenness, undulations, and shadows

Photochromic lenses give you more riding freedom
Previously, changing lenses was necessary to obtain optimal visibility depending on the weather and the time of day spent on snowy mountains. However, carrying spare lenses and having to remove your goggles every time you're out in the cold can be a hassle. However, the new VIVID photochromic lenses automatically adapt to the ever-changing light conditions, from sunny to cloudy days, and from tree runs through forests to open fields. The high contrast performance unique to VIVID lenses is not compromised even when the brightness of the lenses changes

Method (Tested during the last week of January at Furano Ski Resort)
The field of view was wide and very clear. My impression was that the field of view was about 1.5 times wider than the goggles I normally use. Despite that, they didn't feel too big. They were well-balanced. I tried wearing them with my glasses on, and they didn't feel strange at all, and the size was also generous
When the sun came out from a slightly cloudy day and it got brighter, the photochromic lenses gradually darkened, and I was able to see the unevenness of the terrain clearly without any glare

Here are my impressions after using it thoroughly from morning until evening.
First, I was impressed by its excellent visibility. Even on cloudy days, it was easy to discern the unevenness of the snow surface, and the moment the sun broke through, it provided a bright, clear view.
I was also surprised by the smooth light adjustment function. Even on snowy mountains where the weather changes rapidly from cloudy to sunny to cloudy again, the lenses automatically adjust, so there's no discomfort at all. The biggest advantage is that there's no need to bother changing lenses. This one lens can handle any situation, so I think it's the perfect choice for those who want to reduce their luggage in the backcountry or who want to focus on skiing
