Salomon's proud downhill boots, "S/LAB SHIFT ALPHA BOA"

The SHIFT series is particularly known for its high downhill performance among freeride boots. Among them, the "S/LAB SHIFT ALPHA BOA," featuring a BOA system on the lower shell, is a standout for next season. Let's take a look at its features

What makes "S/LAB SHIFT ALPHA BOA" different?

As the top model to the "SHIFT ALPHA" name, this model boasts uncompromising quality in terms of power, operability, and fit

The SHIFT series offers two fits: the ALPHA, a 98mm narrow fit for those seeking precision in their skiing, and the SUPRA, a 100mm last for those who also prioritize comfort. This new boot features a 98mm last that has been fine-tuned for freeride

Another key feature is the environmentally conscious design, such as the rubber sole made with 30% recycled materials

Technology

EXOBELT

A robust polymer belt secured with metal parts works in conjunction with the BOA Fit System to provide superior heel hold. It prevents chafing inside the boot when climbing and enhances turning precision and power transfer when skiing

FREESPINE

A fiber-reinforced plastic bar on the back of the boot securely fastens the cuff to the shell, resulting in high power transfer efficiency while skiing. When unlocked, it allows for a range of motion of 10 degrees forward and 45 degrees backward, providing comfortable and smooth leg movement when hiking. When locked, the material provides high power transfer, and when unlocked, it allows for smooth leg movement

Its stylish design really stood out at the exhibition. Check it out along with Mr. Konno's explanation

Featuring vibrant colors such as raspberry, black, and pansy, these shoes can be color-matched with the redesigned "S/LAB QST X" skis, a must-have for next season, allowing for a complete coordinated look
