BLASTRACK's strengths

BLASTRACK is a Japanese brand that combines craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, demonstrating a deep understanding of Japan's snow-covered mountains. Each ski is meticulously crafted one by one at their own factory in Nagano, possessing a beauty that transcends mere tools, and offering exceptional performance to handle Japan's diverse snow conditions

With the motto "Art of traditional craftsmanship and progressive technology," their manufacturing process is designed to resonate with the skier's sensibilities and relentlessly pursue freedom in riding. This approach has earned them the trust of a wide range of skiers, from technically-minded core skiers to powder enthusiasts

For the 2026-2027 season, the most noteworthy item is the new "ROC100" from the "ROC" series, a full rocker model that stands out even within the BLASTRACK all-mountain category. What are the details of this new model that will fully satisfy the mindset of "Let's have more freedom and more ease to enjoy all kinds of activities!"?

A full locker that allows for free and easy play in everyday use

BLASTRACK's Kinoshita showed us, saying, "This is what the full rocker looks like."

The "ROC100" is a model developed for everyday use, taking the full rocker technology previously featured in the ROC "118" and "SILVA" and adapting it to a more manageable 100mm width. Unlike conventional cambered skis, its full rocker design allows for a variety of 3D riding styles, including press riding, butter tricks, spins utilizing pivots, switch riding, and terrain riding

"Because it's a full rocker, you can do anything with it, and it's incredibly soft, light, and easy!" says development rider Masato Hirase. "With a full rocker, the skis are already flexed, so you can edge them just by leaning your body, making turns very easy. It's fun just to ski, but it's also really easy to do pivots and slashes under your feet. You can have fun with all sorts of things, so it's really enjoyable!" he says enthusiastically

BLASTRACK development rider Masato Hirase also praised the product, saying, "With this one rod, you can enjoy it anytime, anywhere during the season."

Flex balance that dominates all speed ranges

The nose and tail feature a "slightly softer" flex, enabling press tricks and smooth maneuvers. Meanwhile, the foot area is set to provide a firm and stable feel, giving it the strength to handle everything from jibbing and terrain play to high-speed riding

From a surf-like gliding feel to groomed snow cruising

The true strength of the "ROC100" lies in its ability to provide a comfortable cruising experience on the slopes despite being a full rocker board. It offers a reliable floating sensation in powder during the peak season, as well as stable performance in the slushy snow of early spring. There's no need to worry about stability when landing jumps in the park, so you can enjoy agile jib tricks while gliding through the park like in slopestyle

Regardless of snow conditions or situation, it allows you to draw lines with ease, and has already received extremely high praise from users who have tried it, who simply say, "It's fun!" The versatility of the 100mm waist combined with BLASTRACK's technical expertise results in a truly outstanding product

Impressions from the "SKI DIG" test ride event

The ROC100 was also available for test rides at the "SKI DIG" test ride event hosted by STEEP, held on March 7-8, 2026, in Shirabakaijima. Development rider Masato Hirase was present at the BLASTRACK tent, carefully explaining the ROC100

Here are some impressions from skiers who have tried them out

HO (48 years old) says:

"It's very easy to handle and maneuver. It's lightweight and easy to use, and seems versatile and convenient. The 133mm tip should be good for powder. It's an
all-around ski that's easy to ride. It's a little wobbly at high speeds, but stable. It's a ski that seems to be able to handle everything from groomed slopes to sidecountry and powder! I can recommend it!"

The "ROC118" has undergone a legitimate evolution

The ROC118, a full-rocker classic that symbolizes BLASTRACK, also underwent its first model change in the '26-27 season

The top sheet material has been changed, the internal components have also been altered, and the flex balance has been meticulously tuned. Due to its full rocker design, it inevitably picked up crust and other imperfections on the snow surface, but by increasing the thickness of the foot area, the already renowned buoyancy has been maintained while stability has been further improved

Based on BLASTRACK's unique "long nose," the low-resistance full rocker design enables powerful, high-speed turns that are unimaginable from its lightweight and soft flex. It's sure to take your riding in big mountains and the backcountry to the next level
