Limited edition MINDBENDER
The Mindbender 108 Ti and Mindbender 130 Burst were released on February 17, 2021, right in the middle of the season. These limited edition MINDBENDER models were developed in collaboration with Sean Pettit, a long-time K2 ski team rider. The inspiration behind their creation was as follows:
"When we launched the Mindbender collection three years ago, we set a goal to convey our vision of freeriding through a rich product range. This was because we knew that there isn't just one definition of 'freeride,' and that the meaning of 'freeride' differs for skiers in Vermont, Whistler, Chamonix, and Niseko. That's why we felt we needed to go further and elevate the sport of skiing and the gear created for it to a new level.
We discussed it together, and decided that we wanted to incorporate a touch of tradition as a way to do so. We enlisted Sean Pettit, a longtime K2 team rider, and collaborated with Sean to bring this project to life, resulting in this limited edition."
"We looked to the iconic K2 freeride ski, the Merlin 7, circa 1998, and wanted to push it further while staying true to our roots. The result is something we're incredibly proud of."

The Mindbender 108Ti's technology
The Mindbender's signature high-performance skiing capabilities are brought out by its "Titanal Y-Beam" and "Powerwall" technologies. The
"Titanal Y-Beam" is the silver part of the titanium arranged in a Y shape, as seen in the photo below. By adjusting the titanium sheets in different areas—along the edges at the ski tip, across the entire width of the ski underfoot, and tapered at the tail—power transmission and control are enhanced, resulting in exceptional stability.
In addition, the Powerwall features an ABS sidewall (red part in the photo below) built into the wood core in the center of the ski, which ensures direct and accurate power transmission to the edge
It offers high maneuverability and freedom in powder, and exceptional sharpness on hard runs. This ski has great potential for both on-piste and off-piste skiing
