The hot new model, Daisuke Sasaki's signature "Nadurra"

The "Nadurra" is a new addition to the lineup for the 2021 season. Meaning "nature" in Gaelic, this ski is the second signature model following the "Cordova SuperLight," with Daisuke Sasaki having been fully involved in its development.
For him, who guides in fields all over the world, mainly in Hokkaido, this ski is for climbing and skiing down snowy mountains in all kinds of conditions.

Nadurra 185cm|138.5−115−130mm|R=24m

This ski features a cap construction on the sidewalls and topsheet.
The advantages are weight reduction due to the integration of the sidewalls and topsheet, and the ability to thin certain areas, allowing for flex adjustments unique to the cap construction.

Furthermore, it employs "SUPER LIGHT CORE," which is about 20% lighter than conventional core materials, and the tip and tail flex are set to be softer. As a result, the swing weight is lighter, making it easier to control the skis. The combination with carbon also makes it extremely responsive to the skier's movements.

With this construction, "Nadurra" has become the lightest model in the brand's entire lineup. Not only does this have a positive impact on skiing, but it also makes it easier to maneuver even when breaking trail in deep snow, allowing for lighter and more effortless uphill hikes.
By conserving energy, you should be able to concentrate more on skiing and enjoy it more.

Brand Philosopher

VECTOR GLIDE started in 2003 with 7 models. With the theme of "uncompromising craftsmanship," they currently offer 19 racing-spec freeski models (including kids' models). Almost all models use a sandwich structure that

allows for freedom of torsion and flex, using dozens of types of natural wood as the core material for every ski. All models are produced in a domestic factory so that the vision can be accurately conveyed to the production team, managed by numerical data, and the performance of test models can be immediately confirmed. Several

models in the VECTOR GLIDE lineup have remained unchanged since the brand's inception. For example, the "Cordova," which was the first flagship model. For 17 years, the outline has not changed at all, and the core material and other materials have been changed to suit the purpose. It has matured without drastically changing the riding feel. On the other hand, skis with a new riding feel are given new names and added as new models. However, they do not blindly release many new models every season.

The largest portion of the lineup is dedicated to the "All Mountain" category, with seven models. The clearer you are about what you want to do on the snowy mountains, the more likely you are to find a ski that perfectly suits your needs. The fact

that they offer five models in the "Telemark" category is also a testament to the "VECTOR GLIDE" brand's unique approach. Telemark skis have been produced since the brand's inception, and because the weight distribution is completely different from alpine skis, they feature specifications that differ from alpine skis, such as a setback in the center position and uneven thickness, and a slightly softer flex.

For the 2021 season, there is another signature model that is not listed in the catalog. That is the "MASTIFF BOUND," a limited edition of 20 Makoto Asakawa signature models. In this age of rocker boards, this model, with its 110mm waist width and traditional camber only, is probably the only one of its kind in the world. The fact that it comes in only one size, 193cm, is also refreshing.

Review of the standard model

Finally, let's introduce some of VECTOR GLIDE's classic models

Genius Standard / Carbon 185, 193cm | 155-130-140mm | R=33.3m (185cm)
*Image is of Genius Standard

The "Genius" is the flagship model in the "Big Fat" category, which categorizes skis with a waist width of 120mm or more, designed for skiing in deep powder. It has the widest shape in the brand's lineup, resulting in exceptional buoyancy. Its unique pintail shape enhances the release in the latter half of turns while maintaining outstanding maneuverability.
There are two models, a standard and a carbon version, with the same dimensions but using different materials, offering skis with different riding characteristics to suit the skier's preferences.

Polarve Standard / Light 175, 180, 186cm | 135-107-128mm | R=23m (180cm)
*Image is of Polarve Standard

Based on Kenji Kono's experience with skiing, the Polarve is the all-mountain model he envisioned. Despite its 107mm waist width, it offers a remarkably responsive feel. One reason for this is the combination of carbon and titanal, resulting in a ski that is both lightweight and stable. This is why it's considered a new generation Vector Glide. This
ski also comes in two versions, Standard and Light, which retain the same dimensions but use different materials. Each version includes models designed under the supervision of JAZZY SPORT.

Aventura Metal / Standard / Super Light 178, 185cm|135−100−120mm|R=18.2m (178cm)
*The image is Aventura Metal

The Aventura features a 100mm waist width and offers high levels of carving performance and buoyancy. Choose from four skis to suit your riding style: the standard with a fiberglass base, the metal with stability even on rough snow or icy surfaces, the superlight with a carbon fiber laminate for lightness and maneuverability, and the women's light model with a lightweight "SUPER LIGHT CORE" core. This is a ski that can be enjoyed in a variety of conditions throughout the season
