In the middle of the season, exhibitions are being held all over the country where manufacturers are unveiling their new models for the 2023-24 season. This time, we spoke to people at the SNOW SPORTS Joint Exhibition (held at Pacifico Yokohama on February 14-15) about Hayashi Wax, which has gained a reputation in racing circles and ski shops for its excellent glide
Hayashi Wax is renowned as a "weapon for victory" that seeks to maximize glide. Word of mouth spread nationwide that "Hayashi Wax glides beautifully," and it is now used by everyone in all genres, including alpine skiing, basic skiing, and mountain skiing. No hardcore skier would be unfamiliar with the name. The number of freeskiers and snowboarders who use it is also increasing
Blends is the ultimate all-purpose wax that lasts all day from the top to the bottom of the mountain

For freeriders, Hayashi Wax confidently recommends Blends. Blends is unique in that it is versatile enough to handle a variety of snow conditions, from the top to the bottom of the mountain
According to Hayashi, who spoke to us at the exhibition booth,
"While Hayashi Wax is primarily focused on speed and glide, Blends is positioned as being primarily focused on durability. Since the mountains are not packed down, there is powder or crust, and there are situations where it is difficult to apply pressure when turning. The concept is to be able to produce sharp and explosive turns even in such situations.
This wax is complete with two types of wax: base and top wax. When the snow is dry, use the base wax, and when the snow gradually becomes wet, use the top wax
Blends comes in solid and liquid form, and those who are particular will use an iron to hot wax it, but just like smartphones, they are becoming smarter and smarter, making it as easy to wet as possible, shortening the time it takes to apply it and lengthening the time you can enjoy skating, so liquid is selling well now

Although other manufacturers are gradually starting to produce this paraffin-based liquid wax, Hayashi Wax was the first to create it six years ago. It has been patented both domestically and internationally. Previous liquid waxes did not contain a sufficient amount of paraffin, so many of them would lose their effectiveness after two or three lifts. However, Blends' liquid type has the paraffin from the solid wax dissolved directly into the liquid, making it a wax that lasts all day. This is a wax that I would highly recommend to all mountain lovers, whether they're into BC or freeriding."

Consider the environment
Another thing worth noting is that Blends is a non-fluorinated wax. While many waxes are derived from petroleum, Blends uses rice wax to make it as environmentally friendly as possible. Blends is a new generation wax that truly blends gliding performance, sustainability, and environmental friendliness
Springtime is when backcountry skiing becomes more and more popular. The snow quality changes dramatically in the mountains in early spring. Many users apparently go on tours with Blends hidden in their backpacks. Why not give it a try?
