Kawaba is easily accessible, just a two-hour drive from central Tokyo, yet it boasts one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Gunma Prefecture. In addition to the heavy snowfall, the base elevation of 1,230m ensures that the snow is dry and plentiful.

Taking advantage of these favorable conditions, Kawaba Ski Resort operates the FIRST TRACK CAT SERVICE. Before the resort opens, a snowcat takes you to the very back of the ski resort, to the summit of the Crystal Course, allowing you to enjoy the magnificent scenery and have the slopes all to yourself. The distance is an incredible 3,300m!

Departures are at 7:30am on weekdays and 7am on Saturdays and Sundays. Being the first to ski on the slopes, which are renowned for their snow quality, is highly valuable. It is extremely popular every year, described as "the ultimate thrill and the best experience." You can fully enjoy Kawaba Ski Resort with the "First Track" service plus a "1-day lift ticket."
