one of the best places in Japan to find dry powder snowHokkaido Powder Belt. What is it like to stay at a winter resort owned by Hoshino Resorts, where you can enjoy light and fluffy powder snow? And since you're in Hokkaido, you'll want to enjoy delicious food as well. We put together a 2-night, 3-day "adult ski trip for women" that is packed with every woman's dream.
This time, three female skiers, Yui Ohno, Mina Itaba, and Yuri Asakawa, who are based in Hakuba, Minamiuonuma, and Myoko, respectively, visited Tomamu in Hokkaido. They also took a large number of photos of their trip on their smartphones (over 600 photos!). Let's take a look back at the places and events that made an impression on them through the photos
Must-see!! Scenic spots and recommended photogenic spots in Tomamu
When it comes to girls' trips, the main goal is to take Instagram-worthy photos to remember the trip.
Tomamu has numerous scenic photo spots scattered throughout the ski resort. It's fun to visit these spots while skiing. Let me introduce some of the spots I visited.
①Frost Terrace and Cloud Walk

First up is the "Frost-Covered Tree Terrace." Located at the summit of Tomamu Mountain, it offers stunning views of trees covered in frost, shining bright white, and the majestic Hidaka Mountains. You can also take photos with Tomamu The Tower and the gondola in the background, making this a must-visit spot for capturing the essence of Tomamu.
The "Cloud Walk," a suspension bridge-like walkway accessible from the Frost-Covered Terrace,
is a unique cloud-shaped observation deck jutting out from the slope, and is a scenic spot visited even by non-skiers.

②Ice Village

is a magical place that only appears on winter nightsIce Village. Here, a city made of ice unfolds, complete with ice churches and ice hotels. Each structure is illuminated by lights, and the glittering ice is a beautiful sight.

The ice bar serves alcoholic drinks in ice glasses, the ice ramen shop serves ice ramen in ice bowls, and more. You can also try out activities like ice skating

Hooray for food-loving girls! Gourmet Tomamu
A cafe and restaurant with easy ski-in/ski-out access

For lunch, we went to Cafe & Bar Tsukino on Hotaru Street, which offers a wide variety of gourmet food unique to Tomamu, including hearty hamburgers, milk soft serve ice cream and cafe lattes made with Tomamu milk, which have a refreshing aftertaste
*Menus vary depending on the season

Hoshino Resorts Tomamu boasts over 20 restaurants and cafes, including Firefly Street.
The buffet restaurant, available for breakfast and dinner, offers such a wide variety of dishes that you won't be able to eat it all in one go.

The best part of the trip? Enjoy a luxurious full-course Italian meal

is perfect for a luxurious getaway for adult womenOTTO SETTE TOMAMU.
Dress up a little for dinner at this restaurant.
Here, a full course of exquisite Italian cuisine featuring seasonal ingredients is served.
From the appetizers onwards, the lavish presentation is so impressive that you'll want to take photos from every angle, thinking, "It's too stylish to eat!"
The dishes reveal a variety of facets when paired with natural wines. "That wine was delicious, let's have another glass!" This is the kind of luxurious experience only adults can enjoy, reveling in a fulfilling dinner.

Of course, I skied! I was very satisfied with the variety of courses

Since it was everyone's first time at Tomamu, we started by cruising through the variety of courses.
Tomamu is famous for "Tomamu The Tower," two colorful towers that stand tall within the ski area. We tried many times, all with the desire to capture a photo of ourselves skiing down towards the towers. The slopes were gentle, making it easy to ski leisurely while enjoying the scenery.

is a challenge for any skierAdvanced-Only Area. By following the prescribed procedures, you can enjoy authentic tree runs within the ski resort, attracting many skiers and snowboarders every season. This is a unique initiative by Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, which focuses on creating slopes that utilize the natural environment as it is.
Even if you push, attack, and fall, the high-quality powder snow will protect you. That's what makes skiing with friends so much fun

For an even more challenging ride, head to "Tomamu Slopestyle Park." Oh no, I only have powder boards, but since I'm here, I might as well try a jump, so I do a one-make. Seeing my friends' tricks up close, which I don't usually get to see, really gets me excited.

Have you always been good? End your trip with the "Mt. Karifuri CAT Tour"

On the final day of our Tomamu trip, we ventured beyond the groomed slopes into the backcountry in search of better snow.Kariburi-dake CAT TourWe joined
As if to celebrate the end of our trip, we were blessed with "THE DAY" weather, and everyone was in high spirits all day long!

After getting off the CAT, we walked to the skiing point. The ground was covered in soft snow, but we followed in a line behind the guide
When you arrive at the drop point, a wide, untracked powder run where you can make big turns spreads out before your eyes. Those with backcountry experience will be excited to get down, while those who are still new to the sport will be filled with nervousness
As each person prepares, he gives advice like, "It's dangerous to ski up to that tree, so stop above it." Having a planned route in advance gives you peace of mind. All that's left is the courage to jump into the powder

"3, 2, 1, drop!" they shouted, and took off. As they made turns, smooth, dry powder flew into the air. "Wow!" "Ahhh!" Shouts of joy rang out. Such luxurious time passed in the blink of an eye. Before I knew it, I had reached the stopping point, ignoring my desire to ski more

After a long day of skiing, we headed to lunch, which was included with the tour. A yurt appeared alone in the forest. Once inside, we were greeted by a retro yet stylish space decorated like a mountain cabin

The lunch provided on the tour was a luxurious one-person hotpot filled with Hokkaido seafood, including shrimp and salmon. The soup, packed with the flavor of the ingredients, warmed me from the inside out, my body cold from the exhaustion of skiing
Three days of skiing, staying overnight, playing, and eating. Even if you're traveling with people you've never met before, the best thing about a ski trip is that you can bond while skiing. It
also deepens your bonds and makes you want to go again and ski more!
With its superb snow quality and excellent facilities and services, Hoshino Resorts Tomamu has captivated skiers and is a recommended travel destination this winter.

I was surprised by the amazing selection that even hardcore skiers would be satisfied with!"
