I live in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, and I find free time to ski, and spend the winter days taking three boys, ages 9, 7 and 4, to the ski resort on weekends.
Last season, the two older brothers participated in the "Chanmero Freeride Motoka Open" held at Iwatake, and the fever of freeride rose. I have started to actively skate on the slightest terrain beside the course and tree runs that are easy for children to enter, and as a parent, I have been sliding in the back and in front of me, thinking it would be a slurping stubbornness.
Taking the desire of the two of them to get better because they want to ski in more places, they joined Omachi ski club this season.
As they have friends from school, they seem to be enjoying the alpine, which involves shining on poles, just like free runs. With free ski boots and twin tips, he quickly transformed into a look of him wearing a hand-held dress and passing through the poles on an old GS ski, and his sliding speed continued to increase dramatically.

As you get better, you want to be able to experience a variety of things without being bound by one thing. At the same time I was thinking about it, I had the opportunity to go to Tomamu in January.

Let's go! To Hoshino Resorts Tomamu
Hoshino Resort Tomamu is a great place for families that are new to Hokkaido, with everything in one mountain.
First of all, it's easy to access. There are trains and direct buses from New Chitose Airport, and it takes about 2 hours by car by car. It's not too complicated to move around.
The ski resort is large enough, and the layout allows you to travel stresslessly along slopes, making it comfortable. Also, light snow quality and moderate amount of snowfall are good. That's right, the variety of activities other than eating and skiing is unique to the resort, so even the kids never get bored of it.
The ski resort is generally facing east and consists of two mountains: Tower Mountain, a gentle mountain body, and Tomamu Mountain, which has just the right slope. During the harsh winter, the average temperature will be near minus 10 degrees, allowing you to enjoy high-quality powder gliding.

The purpose of this article is to experience and enjoy the adventure mountains here. This is an activity where you can naturally improve your skiing while enjoying it by sliding through 11 items set up inside the venue. I'm looking forward to being able to skate with my kids in a way that feels like a role-playing game.
There was snow on the day I arrived at Tomamu, so I ended up riding a gondola and skiing on the first track.
"The snow in Hokkaido doesn't harden even when you grab it."
My second son came across the path from the summit of the gondola to the course.
Among Hokkaido, Tomamu's average temperatures are low, so the snow falls as light as feathers and does not fall easily. And since the accumulated snow is stored at a low temperature, when you scratch the snow on the top of your ski, it will soar up fluffy.
Now, before you go to Adventure Mountain, let's start by getting used to the legs and skate one step.

Heck! Adventure Mountain
Adventure Mountain was founded in 2008 as a story-type family slope that offers fun and fun to improve. Located in two locations, Nipo Mountain is perfect for beginner kids to test their skills, and Tower Mountain is located at Tomamu Mountain, while Advanced players can enjoy it.
The story of Adventure Mountain looks like this.
In front of Nipo, a fairy who lives in the forest of Mt. Tomamu, a Chokkari Daimajin appears, planning to turn it into Mt. Tomamu, which is easy to slide down. They cut down the trees and stole the seeds of the forest that Nipo had collected with great care to prevent any more trees from growing. To get back the forest seeds from the Chokkari Daimajin, cast a secret spell to defeat Chokkari Daimajin.
Each time you clear an item, you collect the spell stamps from the goal, and by conquering all the items, you will be able to complete the spell and defeat the Great Demon.

When the eldest and second sons find the adventure mountains lined with items, they immediately head to the start.
And then, what appeared was... Chokari Daimajin!

Following the Great Demon God, they overcome the sudden slurred "Gakkegake" with a drop in the gaps, the "Super Kabekabe" with banks as tall as the child is, and the continuous waves with a difference in elevation that makes their bodies go up and down, and reach the top of the observation deck. You will clear the "Chokkari Wave and Observatory" one after another as you climb.

The "Special Stage" brings together elements from all the items from Adventure Mountain. He stands in like a final boss. There are "seesaw bridges," which require speed adjustments and a sense of balance, "Berbers," which slide while ringing the bell, and "Challenge Jump," which jumps over, but as long as you can clear each item, there's no problem.

As they are slid in pursuit of the Great Demon God, the two become strangely closer to the Great Demon God.
Every time you complete the course, you stamp it and the spell is finally ready. There's only one more space left. Pass through the forest maze near the ski resort base and ring the bell and you'll clear all the items.

When you complete the spell and defeat the Chokkari Daimajin, you two receive a sticker as a gift. Until a few years ago, this gift was given plant seeds, but since many overseas families have been taking part in the last few years, it has been changed to a sticker. Plant seeds cannot be taken abroad. It's a bit disappointing because the plant seeds were perfectly suited to the concept.

"Let's ski more"
The two conquered Mount Chokkari and demanded a secondhand refill, perhaps as they were feeling well. Her mother meets up and slids around the lower parts of Tomamu Mountain and Tower Mountain.
Huh? Have you taken the initiative to slid near the forest and found a gap and pointed it in?

Miura Gota appears! Expanding Adventure Mountain
The children who defeated Chokkari Daimajin want to ski even more. So the next day I was skiing with a special guest.
The guest is Miura Gota, who participated in the Lillehammer Olympics and Nagano Olympics by mogul. He climbed Everest along with his father Miura Yuichiro, and was also known as Gon-chan, who became a hot topic as he was too detailed in his commentary on the freestyle events at the Olympics.

Gon-chan has been the supervisor of this adventure mountain course and items for the 24-25 seasons. He has the face of a doctorate in medicine, and supervises and organizes items based on affordance theory. By skiing through Adventure Mountain, you're systematized to improve your skiing naturally.
As was the case yesterday, the snow fell lightly, and as I skied, the snow was in great condition. On the second day, I decided to follow the kids and Gon-chan behind me and skate together.
"You skated through Adventure Mountain yesterday, right? So, before you go to the area, let's first ski on the powder next to the course!"
When Gon-chan tells the kids that
"I'm off!"

I've been waiting! He follows Gon-chan as he goes after him.
After skiing several routes along the side of the course, I was encouraged to go to a forest filled with birch and other vegetables. The slope is gentle at about 10 degrees, but the snow is deeper than the course. However, the snow is light so you can ski smoothly.

Don't force yourself to resist the fall line, but instead skiing as if exploring the forest. When Gon-chan finds a small gap and flys, they both follow along and jump. He runs through the forest, bathing in the fluffy snow all over his body. Outside of the forest, whenever I find a slope with little trees, Gon-chan continues to slide in.
The two follow along, looking at their backs, how they are sliding and what lines they are going.

Before I knew it, I was even more obsessed with skating than Adventure Mountain. In addition to the fun of completing the created course, you can also gazed around the ski resort and find many items to play with and skate.
It seems they are enjoying the interpretation of Adventure Mountain across the ski resort. Although he doesn't stop and learn how to slide, every time he skis with Gon-chan, he gets used to it according to the environment and enjoys skiing.

"Both of them are great. My kids and the Miura Dolphins also love the forest. Isn't it fun, right?"
"Yeah!!"
The two responded cheerfully.

Finally, we headed to "Chokkari Wave and Observatory" to go to the Observatory. He easily rides the waves, pumps to speed up and climbs to the observation deck.
"You've gotten better, haven't you?"
When Gon-chan and the children said this, I nodded so hard that I couldn't help but tear my head.

A ski resort with an adventure mountain and a free skiing environment. During the two-day stay, the children were able to find more fun points than ever before, and they learned a little complicated ski control techniques to suit the snow and slope situation at the time.
Rather than learning, get used to it.
I was once again realized that by giving them an environment, children can enjoy skiing freely and improve.
