The entire Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route will open on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025. The 2024-25 season saw a great deal of snow falling due to the benefits of La Niña, and there is plenty of remaining snow on Mt. Tateyama. Mt. Tateyama looks like it will be even more lively this spring. We plan to open from Tuesday, April 15th to Sunday, November 30th. Many backcountry guide club tours are also being invited. If you're planning to visit Mt. Tateyama this spring, be sure to check it out!
What is Tateyama in spring?
Mt. Tateyama in the Northern Alps is lined with 3,000m-class mountains. The overwhelming heavy snowfall and majestic terrain create endless lines, and the exhilarating feeling of sliding from the peak of the 3,000m will captivate any slipper. It is said that the year for the skiers begins at Mt. Tateyama and ends at Mt. Tateyama, as they can ski earlier than anywhere else and skiing late.
The season has arrived for backcountry fans from all over the country to gather in Tateyama!
The "WEB tickets" for approaching Tateyama are already sold out by April, and tickets from the Toyama side. The Nagano side has a small number of seats left at the end of April, making it popular. Online tickets will be on sale from May 1st onwards, starting from April 1st, so if you're interested, don't miss out.
The official Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route website lets you know the local situation in almost real time.
