The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route will be fully opened on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025. Thanks to La Niña, the 2024-2025 season brought an unbelievable amount of snow, so it goes without saying that there is still plenty of snow left on Mt. Tateyama this spring. It is expected to be even more lively this spring. It is scheduled to be open from Tuesday, April 15th to Sunday, November 30th. Many backcountry guide club tours are also open to the public. What is Mt. Tateyama like in spring?
Tateyama in the Northern Alps is a chain of 3,000m-class mountains. The overwhelming heavy snowfall and majestic terrain create endless lines, and the exhilaration of skiing from a 3,000m-class peak captivates any skier. Because you can ski earlier and later than anywhere else in Japan, it is said that skiers' year begins and ends at Tateyama

The "WEB tickets" for approaching Mt. Tateyama are already sold out from the Toyama side in April. From the Nagano side, there are only a few seats left at the end of April, making it such a popular option. WEB tickets for May 1st and beyond will go on sale from April 1st, so if you're interested, don't miss out.

The alpine zone, at an altitude of over 2,400 meters, offers breathtaking views that will make you feel like you're overseas! In spring (April to May), Tateyama offers the perfect granular snow for skiing and a wide variety of trails, making it an alluring destination that you'll never tire of, no matter how many times you visit! This plan allows you to enjoy the backcountry of Tateyama, staying in a mountain hut with a hot spring. Tours are set up for each weekend. You can apply for any date you choose, as long as there are no weekday reservations. (We accept applications mainly for the dates of the first people to make reservations.) | Belongings | In addition to skiing gear and clothing, each backcountry tour requires specialized equipment. These items include: a beacon, a probe, a shovel, climbing skins or snowshoes, a backpack large enough to carry the above items (suitable for carrying skis), and crampons (attached to the skis). For backcountry tours at level 2, the above equipment (excluding climbing skins and ski or splitboard crampons) can be rented for a fee. For spring tours, ski or splitboard riders are required to bring ski or splitboard crampons. For spring tours at level 3 or higher, the following items are required: boots, crampons (crampons) . For backcountry tours at level 3 or higher, participants must be proficient with their own equipment. Northern Alps "Tateyama", a heavy snowfall area with mountains of 3000m class. You can ski earlier than anywhere else, and you can ski later than anywhere else.
At a slow pace in autumn, when the season starts. In spring, cross the ridgeline and take a long route of Kurobe Dam and curl terrain. Let's feel the snow feeling and welcome the season in at Tateyama together until the granulated season with the remaining snow. It is a plan to stay at Raichoso, a comfortable hot spring inn. * We are also accepting private guides for one group.

5th K2/BCA Tateyama Tengu Classic 2025 | K2 JAPAN
A two-night, three-day, spring specialty backcountry tour organized by K2 Skis/BCA. Together with four K2/BCA contract guides who know Mt. Tateyama (Horie Atsushi, Saeki Iwao, Igarashi Kazuya, Handa Joe), we head to Tengu-dake, which can only be climbed during this snowy period.
The three-day schedule starting on Saturday, May 10th will feature a variety of programs, including ski tours, workshops, and participatory events where all participants line up a huge single-turn spur with a huge spur. This event is for BC riders who are particular about the quality of experience and slippery experience, allowing you to enjoy the great nature of Mt.
