Our knowledgeable staff will provide you with information on tools and fields
Shugakuso Asahikawa Store is a specialty store for mountaineering and skiing located in Asahikawa city, close to the Daisetsuzan mountain range. It's a must-visit place when heading out to the backcountry in the Daisetsuzan mountain range.
The staff are experts in telemark and climbing and can guide you on everything from how to use the equipment to field information.
Their concept is "Respect the Mountains, Love the Forest," meaning "Cherish the interaction between people and nature." They stock a wide variety of products that make the interaction with nature richer and more enjoyable, always keeping the user's perspective in mind.

The Asahikawa store is a compact version of the Hokkaido University and Shiroishi stores in Sapporo. Though the sales floor area is only 330m², it is packed with over 100 outdoor brands. They offer flexible inventory transfers between stores and provide the best possible guidance

Profile

Assistant Manager: Masahiko Tamura, Ski Specialist
After working at an outdoor shop and a mountaineering equipment manufacturer in Tokyo, I moved to Asahikawa 14 years ago. Upon moving, I obtained a certified instructor qualification from the Japan Telemark Ski Association and am currently active mainly in backcountry skiing (telemark).
I also plan and manage telemark ski race events and am dedicated to promoting telemark skiing.
