What is Niseko Hanazono Resort (Hokkaido) like?
An all-round international resort with everything of high quality
Niseko Hanazono Resort is located on the eastern side of the Niseko area, and its location means that it is the place where snow accumulates most easily, maintaining excellent powder conditions. It is easily accessible from Hirafu, and many people use it as a place to return to the slopes from the backcountry area
There is also a park at the bottom that can be accessed by high-speed lift, and a tube park in front of Resort Center HANAZONO308. Its all-round appeal, with a wide variety of courses and everything from powder snow to parks and activities, is what makes it an international resort. English is available for all resort services
Topics from the '25-26 season
Night activities start
The popular activities "Tube Park" and "Snowmobiling" will start operating at night this season
At Night Snow Tubing, you'll be surrounded by colorful lights and music, and experience the thrill and excitement of sliding down a tube through a fantastical space of light and sound
On the "Night Snow Cruising" tour, you can leisurely ride a snowmobile through the Hanazono forest illuminated by moonlight and the starry sky, and experience the mystical sights that can only be seen on the snowy mountains at night
"HANAZONO Lantern Festival 2026" to be held
This popular event, which started last year and captivated many visitors, will be held again this year. Amidst the fantastical spectacle of lanterns and fireworks floating in the night sky, visitors can enjoy the experience of creating their own "one-of-a-kind lantern" by writing wishes or drawing illustrations.
The lantern-releasing ceremony is a traditional Taiwanese New Year ritual that is carried out with the hope of praying for good health and happiness. The fireworks that are launched at the same time are meant to ward off evil spirits and celebrate the beginning of the new year, creating a special moment that colors the winter night sky
