Enjoy deep tree runs in the vast off-piste area
Located close to Sapporo city center, Kiroro is easily accessible for day trips even if you're staying in Sapporo. It boasts abundant snowfall, sometimes exceeding 5 meters. During peak season, snow falls almost every night, resetting the course conditions. The consistently low temperatures ensure high-quality powder throughout the season, which is another strong point.
For freeride enthusiasts, the five off-piste areas, accessible from entrances within the ski resort's managed area, offer a truly diverse range of terrain, from beautiful broadleaf forests and varied natural landscapes to deep powder spots and adventurous courses. Many courses can be efficiently accessed using the lifts. However, these are entirely self-responsible areas, and rescue services incur costs, so a high level of awareness is necessary.

Kiroro Snow World Recommended Courses
・Powder ride
Maximum gradient: 29.5 degrees, average gradient: 10 degrees / Distance: 222m / Slope orientation: East
This is Kiroro's most popular powder spot. From Asariyama Top, you can drop in via the Grand Line, then the Expert A course with ungroomed snow. The wide, open runs offer a sense of freedom. This is the perfect spot for those looking to ski on untracked slopes first thing in the morning
・Off-piste
Asari, Yoichi, Center, Nagamine off-piste areas
Kiroro offers five vast off-piste areas across four areas within its ski resort management zone. Entry is via designated entrances. The variety is truly diverse, with beautiful tree-run forests, varied natural terrain, deep powder spots, and courses that give you a sense of exploration. There are also many courses that can be easily ridden using the lifts, making them a delight for advanced skiers
・Asari 2nd C Course
Maximum gradient: 36.8 degrees, average gradient: 14 degrees / Distance: 1100m / Slope orientation: -
This is a long, ungroomed course that starts from the top of Mt. Asari at an elevation of 1,180m. For freeriders, this is the most popular and famous course on the Kiroro slopes. After approaching from the bottom with a single Kiroro Dora, you can spin around on the Asari No. 2 lift, which is very efficient. The neighboring Asari No. 2 B course is also an ungroomed, advanced course, so we recommend alternating between C and B

Akaigawa Tomato Tantanmen @ Brasserie Akaigawa The bright red soup of this tomato tantanmen is striking, and the color comes not from the spiciness, but from the local tomatoes used as the base. It features a pleasant acidity from the tomatoes, and you can enjoy changing the flavor by adding grated cheese or Tabasco to your liking.
