Shiga Kogen Kumanoyu Ski Resort is like this

The spectacular view of Mt. Kasadake and the “Kumayuki” powder seen from the top of the slope are attractive

Kumanoyu is well known for its heavy snowfall in Shiga Kogen.

Most of the bowl-shaped ski resorts are on the north slope. The ski slopes, which are spread out between 1,690 and 1,960 meters above sea level, are on the north slope and are not exposed to direct sunlight, so the snow conditions remain in good quality for a long time. The snow quality is excellent and dry, making it a popular ski resort among powder freaks, nicknamed ``Kumayuki.'' Although the overall size is compact, many of the courses have firm slopes, making them very responsive. There are many downhill terrains, so you can play without getting bored.

The beautiful sunset and spectacular view of Mt. Kasa from the top of the third lift (1,960m above sea level) are also attractive features unique to Kumanoyu. From there, you can also connect to Yokoteyama Ski Resort.
