Introducing recommended courses, weather forecasts, live cameras, and course maps for Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort
INDEX
What is Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort (Hokkaido) like?
A hidden gem in Niseko with the famous Back Bowl
Due to its geographical location, Moiwa receives the most snowfall in Niseko and is popular as a deep powder spot. Although it is small in size, its wide, easy-to-slide courses and great location with spectacular views of Mount Yotei are also appealing
The slopes are lined with beautiful forests rich in natural terrain, making it a veritable natural park. Moiwa's "Back Bowl" is a famous powder spot with many repeat visitors. As it is a little far from the center of Niseko Village, it has a quiet and laid-back atmosphere and is known as a "hidden gem in Niseko."

A range of lift passes to suit your needs
To fully enjoy Moiwa's signature "creamy powder" in your own style, purchasing a lift pass is key. A regular one-day pass (adult) is a hefty 13,000 yen, but you can save 1,300 yen by purchasing it online for 11,700 yen. There are also hourly passes, such as a "4-hour pass" and a "30-hour pass," so you can choose the best option depending on whether you're staying overnight or just visiting for the day, and the time of day you want to ski.
Even more unique is the "point pass." Each of the three lifts has a set number of points, and points are deducted depending on which lift you ride. There are also special deals depending on the season. The early season and spring season offer even better deals. Check the official website for detailed pricing!
Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort Recommended Courses
・White birch course
Maximum gradient: - degrees Average: - degrees / Distance: 500m / Slope orientation: South
After getting off the quad lift, you can enjoy the view of Mt. Annupuri and Mt. Yotei on your left as you dive into the forest, where you can enjoy stream-like terrain and open tree runs. There is plenty of space between the trees, so you can enjoy skiing at a safe speed. If you keep coming back, you're sure to find a line you like. There are many entry points, so even in the afternoon, there's a chance you'll find no tracks
・Expert course
Maximum gradient: - degrees Average: - degrees / Distance: 800m / Slope orientation: South
The expert course, which starts after getting off the first lift and runs down the main run to the right, is basically a groomed course, but carving on the powder is a great experience
・Giant Course
Maximum gradient: - degrees Average: - degrees / Distance: 600m / Slope orientation: South
Just below the quad lift is the Giant Course. The open 35-degree slope is perfect for powder and can be seen from the bottom of the slope. You can connect directly to the main run and ski in the powder zone next to the packed snow, or connect to the Expert Course or the Forest Course. The alternating powder and packed snow is addictive
