Silkwood Hotel | Close to the slopes, so it's easy to check the snow conditions! Convenient! | Hakuba

A relaxing inn that feels like home

Nestled in a quiet forest at the foot of Mount Hakuba, Silkwood Hotel is a family-run, homey inn. Its location is convenient, with easy access to Happo, Hakuba47, Goryu, and Iwatake ski resorts, all within about 10 minutes (energetic guests can even walk to Hakuba47). A shuttle bus also comes close by.

The inn's proximity to the slopes is a major advantage for skiers, as it makes it easy to check the mountain and snow conditions. Depending on where you go, you can even ski down from the Hakuba backcountry and walk back to the hotel.

The owner's riding style is stylish

The owner is a professional snowboarder, Takashi Minamiura

This kind of information is only possible because the owner is a professional rider. Silkwood Hotel is run by Takashi Minamiura, a professional snowboarder in winter and a professional mountain biker in summer. Minamiura says he values "cherishing each encounter and providing the best possible hospitality," and there is even a plan that allows guests to have a slope session with the owner.

Guest rooms with unique interiors

The guest rooms have a modern European feel. All room types offer spaciousness and unique interiors.

From twin rooms of 8 tatami mats or more, to Western-style rooms of 16 tatami mats or more with a second-floor bedroom, to Western-style rooms of 12 tatami mats or more with a separate living room, and Japanese-style studio rooms of 12 tatami mats or more for those who appreciate Japanese aesthetics, each room has a wonderful atmosphere and provides a relaxing space.

We are also proud of our baths, including a private open-air bath with a view of the snow

Silkwood also boasts impressive baths. With a luxurious lineup of "open-air bath + cold bath + indoor bath + courtyard," it's perfect for soothing tired bodies after skiing. Even 4-5 people can relax comfortably, and the fact that it can be reserved for private use is a real bonus.

Furthermore, there's the famous "snow-viewing open-air bath," available from mid-December to the end of March. The feeling of being outdoors is truly exceptional.

Enjoy dinner with ingredients unique to Shinshu

Silkwood's most popular dishes are their special bouillabaisse and oil fondue, both made with an abundance of ingredients unique to Shinshu. They perfectly match the Tyrolean image of Hakuba.

Both are served with Shinshu beef and fresh local vegetables. What's more, they are healthy, safe, and generously portioned. Apparently, the menu changes completely if you stay for three nights. I would definitely like to stay for three nights.

"Excellent" and "Recommended!"

The popular menu includes a special bouillabaisse and oil fondue made with local vegetables. One drink per person is served with dinner. An all-you-can-drink plan is also available

Services and information that are sure to impress

- Guests staying overnight can enjoy slope sessions with the owner and MTB lesson tours (including PMBI international license acquisition). (Reservations required)
- Rental discount coupons usable at Hakuba47, Goryu, and Happo-one ski resorts are available.
