55 participants selected by the Japan Ski Federation
The All Japan Ski Federation announced 53 candidates for the national team on January 20th.the reallocation, three more freestyle skiers were added the following day, January 21st: Ryuto Kobayashi and Makiko Arai in ski cross, and Haruto Igarashi in aerials, all making their Olympic debut. This brings the total number of skiers and snowboarders competing to 55.
