Akira Sasaki was a top alpine racer before moving into the world of freeriding. His first self-produced video work, "Akira's Project," is finally complete! The teaser and RIDING EDIT are now available!
The work is currently being released on "VIMEO on demand" from November 13, 2020
The RIDING EDIT is also available on IGTV, where you can see the riding of the skaters involved in this project!
Akira Sasaki's next challenge will be announced at the following screenings. Some venues will also be selling a limited number of 1000 DVDs, so be sure to check it out.
*Proceeds from the DVD sales will go towards the SAJ Junior Alpine Skiing Training Program.

Akira Sasaki
was born in 1981 in Hokuto City, Hokkaido. He stood on the podium three times in the Alpine World Cup and competed in four consecutive Olympic Games from Salt Lake City to Sochi, achieving a rare feat for an Asian athlete. After retiring from competitive skiing, he developed the concept for video production while skiing around the world and started "Akira's Project." He produces his own videos, skiing in Norway, Mongolia, and Tanigawa-dake.
