The Freestyle World Championships were originally scheduled to be held in China in February as a pre-Olympic event for the Beijing Olympics, but this was canceled due to the spread of the coronavirus. After adjustments, the schedule was changed, and the events were spread across three locations: ski cross in Idre, Sweden; the three freeskiing events in Aspen, USA; and moguls in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the same location as the final World Cup event.
And in moguls, where a double podium finish for the Japanese team, Yukima Horishima and Anri Kawamura, was expected, the results were somewhat unexpected...
