Live voices of people who emigrated to snow country and made a U-turn. ーMinamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefectureー

A life close to the snowy mountains that every skier and snowboarder longs for at least once. Minamiuonuma City in Niigata Prefecture has 10 ski resorts in the city, and no matter where you live in the city, you can reach the nearest ski resort by driving about 10 minutes. In addition, there are a similar number of ski resorts in the neighboring town of Yuzawa, where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding from among a wide variety of slopes according to your mood and conditions that day.

Taking advantage of such a special location and natural environment in Japan, Minamiuonuma City has consistently focused on the theme of "relationship with snow" in its immigration policy. Two years ago, we published a booklet entitled "Snow Furumachi," which summarizes the lifestyles of people who live in the city and are familiar with skiing and snowboarding, and have encouraged those who have a positive image of snow to move there.

This year, in order to further promote immigration, we produced four videos, EX / XC / U Turn / New Founding, focusing on people who actually emigrated or made a U-turn.
It is a documentary closely related to snow and life. The models for the shoot are from different ages and have different backgrounds.
It contains the “real” voices of people who moved to Minamiuonuma City, such as to create an environment for “slide” because they love snow, and to raise their children.
